My Final Blog

Well,

Here it is, the last thing I'm ever going to write. Haven't had much to say lately.

There Will Be Blood

I'm glad to see the President has returned.

Returned from where you ask? Oblivion. Purely and simply, oblivion.

Schizophrenic Nation

I honestly don't understand the Libyan situation. At least, the more I listen to the news, the less I understand.

Dazed and Confused

I love disaster movies.

One of my earliest, fondest movie memories is that of seeing "The Poseidon Adventure" at the drive-in in 1972. I believe that I was capsizing boats in the bathtub for the next two years until my attention was turned to drawing/designing giant fireproof skyscrapers upon seeing "The Towering Inferno." These movies really exhilarated my young mind.

Show Me the Money

President Obama is right.

Last week, commenting on the possibility of an NFL work stoppage, the first in twenty four years, he seemed stunned that an industry that generates approximately $9 billion a year could not find an amicable way to split the dough up to everyone's satisfaction. And now just under three hours ago, the owners have locked out the players after negotiations broke down Friday afternoon.

Pay No Attention to That Man Behind the Curtain!

I love the scene at the end of “The Wizard of Oz” when Toto runs under the curtain and starts nipping at the heels of the Wizard. The curtain is pulled back, and the Wizard is revealed to be nothing more than a scared little man, hiding behind his position so that he may bully the people, which he was supposed to be serving.

I think Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is a lot like the Wizard. Let me explain.

Rubber Reality

I was going to go on about the sad state of genre film, then I came upon this.

It looks like it could possibly be the greatest movie ever made:

Strong Mother&*%#@rs

Mike Huckabee is an opportunistic hypocrite.

Let's just get this out of the way and quote exactly what he said last Tuesday on Michael Medved's radio program:

Welcome

My wife says I rant a lot. I think she's sort of right. I used to rant a lot. I would go on about things so vociferously that stuff would come out of my mouth that surprised even myself. Somewhere along the way I stopped. Now I just stress out. I guess that's the reason for "House of Redfly".
